I am just so tired!

Well, between my new mom moving into the new house & my trip down to finally meet her we are both getting so tired! I think I will take a bit of a hiatus to catch up on my sleep & get to know mom better when I finally get to meet her beak to beak on Saturday afternoon!

So all you little 'Lets out there better behave until I get back! I promise I'll have a story to tell about my trip as well as my new home when I get back!!

Dear My New Mommy...

Dear my "new" mom,

I had lots of fun playing with my other mom today! I played in her shirt alot - I like to do that! Oh, and I also helped her do her homework!! See? I made sure she didn't forget to tell you I'm coming home to see you & live with you as of Saturday July the 4th! HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! I might be Canadian but does that really matter? Any reason for a party is good for me! OH! I helped mom type up the email too, did you see me? I did such a good job! Well, after all that hard work I'm tired so I think I will go get some sleep!

Time just keeps on ticking!

There is only 8 days left to go! Wow, time really does go by fast!! My "new" Mom picked up my brand new cage today and is very happy with it, she said she'll have it assembled probably a day or two after the move as I am more important then all of her books and stuff! It'll be all nice and clean and shiney by the time I get to inspect it. I think I might be a bit harsh and really make her think she didn't give it a good enough spit shine. Just kidding! I'm sure I will be too entranced with all my new toys, the new smells and the new sounds to really notice if every inch of my cage doesn't glint like my moms car after it gets a good wash =)

Meanwhile back here at home my mom has been super busy! School is now over and her family had a big special graduation. We are all so proud of the little runts! I'm just glad I can still get my snuggle time in between her running about being so busy! Did I mention I like to snuggle? I am cuter then the teddy bear in those commercials though...

Countdown to Arrival!

The day has been changed on when little Midori will be arriving at her new home! Just a little over two weeks and I will be in my new forever home. Mom is very excited & will probably be nervous when the day finally arrives! Hopefully I'll do well on my long trip down to Oshawa and will not be too nervous myself upon finally meeting my 'new mom'. I can't wait to finally meet her as well as explore my new cage let alone play with all my new toys!!

New cage take 2!

Well, mommy went to see my new cage she had found on kijiji only to find out the previous owners had given incorrect measurements! So, I will not be getting the 'nice' brown cage however mom did find a semi-local guy who sells the A&E Flight Cage and has ordered me a brand new cage! Midori is spoiled! Its the same as the one pictured here but will be black in color (it should help show me off more then the ugly green color). I think I'll look like a prim little princess once I finally arrive & am used to my new home. There are lots of toys too just waiting for the day I finally get my forever home with my mom-to-be! Wow, the new cage is so big...I hope I don't get lost!

Its so big!

Mommy bought me a cage! It is a used one but is very big & it is shiney!! The lady she is buying it from upgraded the cage size for her bird & is selling the smaller one. She agreed to moms offer of $165 and is tossing in a second smaller "sleep/travel" cage to go with it!! I can't complain much there now can I? Mom will hopefully be picking it up this week & give it a real good cleaning a few times before getting it set up in the new house the 1st week of July. Midori is just so spoiled! I was to have had a smaller Hagen Vision cage that is 24" x 15" x 20 1/2" but instead I get to live in a dome top that is 32" x 23" x 43"! What do you think mom will say if I told her I wasn't too fond of the color? Shhh....don't tell her I prefer green ok?

Can you guess what my favorite color is? Any guesses? Its obvious! YES! My favorite color is green. Why may you ask? Well, I'm green, various shades of green actually - and now I even have a green tent to sleep in at night! Cool isn't it? I know, its very designer! My mom made it for me, I love my mom. I am so lucky, not every 'Let has two moms to love them and spoil them! I must be very lucky indeed, my other "mom to be" bought me my own play gym for when I move. I don't even have to share it! Isn't that cool?

Peekaboo!

Day two of explorations & I have discovered the jungle! Well, maybe not the real one but I like it here either way! I like to hide and play in moms hair, I feel safe in here!

I wonder if I'll like longer hair as much as I like moms?

The waiting game...

I've yet to take the exiciting but stressfull trip to my new home, mom has been giving me lots of attention so far though! I've been out of my cage in the evenings and even went and met a horse yesterday! I know I must eventually leave the safety of my second home but once I do I know I'll be in my forever home & because of that I'm excited!

Yesterday my new mom to be named me, she had lots of help too! My name is now Midori, it is very pretty & means "green" in Japanese! I think the name suits me very well! She also bought me my new home. By the time I finally make the long trip south from North Bay down to Oshawa I'll have a nice big cage & lots of toys to play with! I love playing with my toys!!
